Chairperson: Mr Graham Perkins, CEO: Dekko (Singapore)
Graham has
been working within the design and publishing industry for over 27 years. He
started his career and worked in the days of computer-less environments, through
to the birth and revolution of Desktop Publishing, and into the pervasive age
of technology today. His experience has covered areas such as management of
departments, infrastructures and workflows, and further across the technology
chasm to spend 2 years at Adobe, and 3.5 years at Apple.
Graham, along with his team, are now developing a new, fresh approach towards
system integration under the name of Dekko. Put simply, Dekko are focused on
bringing technology closer to the individuals in many unique ways. Dekko provide
hardware and software solutions and offer support for industry specific education,
productivity, workflow and technical infrastructure. Graham has lived in Singapore
for 9 years and is a permanent resident.
Mr Sugu Karuppiah, Partner: Ravindran
Associates (Singapore)
Sugu is a member
of various local and international intellectual property associations such as
the International Trade Mark Association (INTA), Asian Patent Attorneys Association
(APPA) to name a few. He is a member of the EXCO of the APAA Singapore Group
and a member of the INTA Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. He is also
a member of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators. Sugu also speaks and writes
regularly on the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights
both in Singapore and Malaysia. He has appeared regularly as a speaker in the
United States in respect of a seminar series entitled, Intellectual Property
Protection In The Pacific Rim Countries, covering Malaysia and Singapore, organised
by CLE International for the years 1993 to 2000. Amongst his most significant
writing is as a contributor to the chapters on Singapore and Malaysia in the
book entitled Intellectual Property Protection in Asia published by LexisNexis
and edited by Arthur Wineburg. He was also named as a Patent Law expert for
Singapore by the Expert Guide for 2001 published by Euro Money Legal Media Group.

Michael brings a strong background in radio and television production, reporting and journalism. Having worked for TVB (Hong Kong), Public Radio International, Metro Broadcast (Hong Kong) and the Associated Press (Philippines), Michael is multi-talented, not only producing shows but also reporting and appearing on camera for television.
From 1997 to 2000, Michael was the Financial Producer and Reporter for TVB, where he produced the daily Financial Report seen on TVB's English language channel. He also reported and produced 5-minute features for Money Magazine, a weekly half-hour program. Concurrently, Michael was the Hong Kong correspondent for The World, a co-production of Public Radio International, the BBC World Service, and WGBH. The World can be heard across the United States. Michael produced in-depth features on Asian politics, economics and culture. From 1996 - 1997, Michael was the Business Editor for Metro Broadcast 1044 AM (HK), with responsibility for all business content.
Michael has served as a freelance journalist for Monitor Radio (US), the Christian Science Monitor (US), Blue Danube Radio (Austria), National Public Radio (US) and the Associated Press (Manila, Philippines). His work has been published in the Chicago Tribune, the Toronto Star and the Commercial Appeal. Michael served in the Peace Corps as a math teacher in Niger and Gabon.
Michael is fluent
in French and has a working knowledge of Cantonese and Hausa plus the basics
of Mandarin. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tufts University with a BA in
History and received his MPA from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International
Affairs at Princeton University.
