Mr TENG Theng Dar: CEO, Singapore Business Federation (SBF)
Mr Teng Theng Dar is current CEO of the Singapore Business Federation. His key appointments include being chairman of SBF's Middle East Business Group, vice-chairman of the Saudi-Singapore Joint Business Council and Singapore's Non-Resident Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman. Formerly the CEO of Intraco Ltd, Mr Teng has more than 29 years of management experience in Asia, Australia, and in recent years, the Middle East. He spent ten years each in Japan and Indonesia, four years each in Malaysia and Australia managing businesses in the following sectors: FMCG (Manufacturing, Marketing & Distribution), Commodities trading, Agri-Food, ICT, Energy-saving solutions & products, and Construction. Mr Teng graduated from the School of Commerce, Waseda University, Japan and is a member of the Japanese University Graduates Association of Singapore (Jugas). Mr Teng is active in charity work.
Mr CHONG Whye Keet, Head - New Businesses Group - Economic Development Board (EDB, S'pore)
Mr Chong Whye Keet leads the New Technologies team as well as the Natural Resources team within the New Businesses Group.  The Group was established in 2007 to identify and nurture new growth areas which will create new economic opportunities for Singapore. The New Technologies team has the mission of identifying new technological growth areas for Singapore with a 5- to 10-year timeframe. Currently, the team is working on 2 areas, Robotics & Intelligent Systems (R&IS) and Nanotechnology. Prior to serving in EDB Whye Keet worked as an engineer with Hewlett-Packard in Singapore. Within EDB, Whye Keet served in a number of different portfolios ranging from consumer electronics and telecommunications to posting as Centre Director at EDB's New York office in the late 90s.

Dr Sergey MOSTINSKIY: Director, Dept for International Cooperation - RusNano (Russia)
Dr. Sergey B. Mostinskiy is responsible for arranging international cooperation for the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies – RUSNANO. Prior this appointment he has served as Director of International Cooperation Department of the Joint Stock Company “TENEX”. Before joining RUSNANO in November of 2007, Mostinskiy has held a variety of governmental positions spending eleven years in diplomatic service at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs including several positions abroad. These positions have included a member of the Soviet and then Russian delegations to the Arms Control negotiations in Vienna (CFE negotiations and its adaptation), to the1980 Geneva Conventional Weapons Convention review process, to the Six-Lateral negotiations on confidence building measures along the border with China. He also has served for five years at the Russian Permanent Mission to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Brussels where as Counselor to the Mission was responsible for arms control, nuclear policy and Russian-NATO cooperation in TMD. Mostinskiy has served as Deputy Head, International Relations Department in Gosatomnadzor (now Rostechnadzor) of Russia – Russian regulator on nuclear safety and security.  Active in a variety of governmental organizations, Mostinskiy participated in elaboration of several international agreements and treaties. He also took part to prepare high-level ministerial meetings of the OSCE, Russia-NATO Council as well as several international events under Russian Presidency of the G8 in 2006.
Mr Yury TKACHUK: Director, Standardization Dept – RusNano (Russia)
Within RUSNANO State Corporation Mr. Yury Tkachuk is in charge of issues related to matters of standardization of nano innovations, nano products and nano technologies which is of great importance in structuring the nano sphere. Previously he was in charge of the unit which coordinated activities related to certification of equipment, products and technologies in the nuclear sector of the Russian Federation. Since 1974 Mr. Tkachuk has been a part of activities related to the issues of metrology, standardization and certification in the nuclear field.
Dr Daniel S PICKARD: NanoCore / NanoSpark - National University of Singapore (NUS, S'pore)
Dr. Pickard is an Assistant Professor in the Engineering Science Program and the Department Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National University of Singapore. He is a Visiting Professor from Stanford University.  He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with both a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (honors) and a B.A. in Physics. His graduate studies were performed at Stanford University where he earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. His Ph.D. research demonstrated a novel nanoscale imaging technique aimed at dramatically improving the speed of electron beam systems (both for lithography and defect inspection at nanometric levels) by employing a parallel array of thousands of individually addressable electron beams.
Prof Freddy BOEY: CEO, NanoFrontier - Nanyang Technological University (NTU, Singapore)
Prof Boey graduated from Monash University in Materials Engineering in 1980 and  Ph.D from the National University Singapore in 1987. He joined the Nanyang Technological University in 1987 and is Professor of Materials Engineering and Chair, School of Materials Science and Engineering.  He has founded 4 companies in biomedical devices and nanotechnology. He also sits on several major company boards and Research Funding Panels. He is currently CEO and director  of Nanofrontier,  a university start up incubator.
Dr Jimmy YUN: CEO and Chairman of the Board - NanoMaterials Technology (S'pore)
Dr Jimmy Yun is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of NanoMaterials Technology (NMT). He is also the co-founder of NMT.  Prior to founding NMT, he held various managerial positions in Natsteel Chemicals and the National Science & Technology Board (NSTB) in Singapore.  Dr Yun has 15 years of industrial research and development experience in pharmaceutical and various powder applications. He has been engaged in extensive research in the application of super-critical fluid technology for the processing of natural products and pharmaceutical active ingredients when he was a research fellow with Hokkaido National Industrial Research Institute, Japan and Specialty Separation Centre at Geogia Institute of Technology, USA.  Dr Yun obtained his PhD in 1992 and Bachelor of Engineering with first class honors in 1988 from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is actively engaged in particle technology research since his post graduate studies.
Mr Valery V. GRABOSHNIKOV: DCEO Science & Technology, Russian Business Incubator “FUTURUS” Pte Ltd (S'pore)
Mr. Graboshnikov leads RBI activities related to transfer of Russia and CIS based innovations to Singapore and (through Singapore) to international markets, first of all the markets of Asia Pacific countries. A large part of that activities aimed at commercializing innovative assets deals with nanotechnology and nano research. Valery has been and is a part of serious scientific research and technological development programs in nano sphere. That resulted in 6 patents in Russia and 3 International on developments in Technology of self forming wave ordered structures on the surfaces of different materials with large potential of application in life sciences, renewable energy, semiconductor industry and consumer electronics. His professional background includes positions of a Vice Governor of Kursk Region of the Russian Federation as well as senior managerial and expert positions in a number of commercial and government organizations. International HiTech and innovative transactions including aspects of scientific and technological expertise of IP assets has occupied a large part of Valery’s professional career.
Mr Andreas KRÖLL: Head of Portfolio Mgmt – Nanostart AG (Germany)
Andreas has been with Nanostart since 2006. In particular, he has been in charge of the international operations. I.e., He was responsible for the investments in Lumiphore and BioMicro, USA, and represented Nanostart on the board of these companies, and also Nanogram, Nanosys and Nanodynamics, USA. Andreas heads Nanostart AG' portfolio management and leads the Nanostart Asia team in Singapore. Prior to Nanostart, Andreas built a long career in Corporate Finance and worked with major international institutions such as Deutsche Bank or Deloitte & Touche. He was involved in a large number of M&A and equity transactions, i.e. the IPO of Deutsche Boerse AG or the Deutsche Telekom/T-Online merger. He holds a MBA of Frankfurt University and a German CPA-equivalent.
Mr Dmitry GORDIENKO, Senior Relationship Manager - RusNano (Russia)
Mr. Gorgienko occupies the position of Senior Relationship Manger. His responsibilities are related to originating new projects within the scope of RUSNANO State Corporation activities. As a result of evaluating and testing hundreds of applications to RUSNANO for funding various nano innovations and nano projects in Russia there is a substantial package of projects preliminarily approved for financing by the Corporation. Mr. Gordienko works in the group of key RUSNANO officials who assist in initial structuring as well as corporate and finance modeling of starting projects. Prior to RUSNANO Mr. Gordienko worked in Merrill Lynch at the position of Vice President, Structured Products where he was responsible for originating structured fixed income and derivative transactions. His track record also includes the work in the Trust Investment Bank as a Vice President, Origination, responsible for originating fixed income and equity transactions.
Dr Sean WONG: Research Scientist - Global Research Center (Nanostructured Surfaces), BASF South East Asian PL (S'pore)
Dr Wong was born in Hong Kong in 1979, and immigrated to Toronto, Canada with his family at an early age.  He began his studies in chemistry at the University of Toronto, and obtained a Master’s degree at the same institution.  Here, he worked in the group of Prof. Geoffrey A. Ozin, where he investigated the use of colloidal self-assembly to produce 3D photonic crystals.  In 2005, he moved to Germany to begin his Ph.D work with Prof. Dieter Fenske and Prof. Martin Wegener at the Universität Karlsruhe(TH) and in the Institute of Nanotechnology at the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe.  Here, he investigated the technique of using high-refractive index materials as an inorganic photoresist for 3D nanolithography.  He is also an alumnus of the Karlsruhe School of Optics and Photonics (KSOP) and a founding member of a start-up company in Karlsruhe which produces 3D lithographic systems and photoresist chemicals.  In September 2008, Dr. Wong joined BASF South East Asia Pte Ltd as a research scientist. He currently leads a research team at the Competence Center for Nanostructured Surfaces at the BASF Global Research Center Singapore.

Dr Mark AUCH: Business Manager/Research Scientist - Flexible Substrate, IMRE (S'pore):
Dr. Mark Auch has attained his Ph.D. at the Max-Planck-Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Berlin, Germany.  He has been appointed as Deputy Cluster Manager for the Opto- and Electronics Systems Cluster at IMRE for several years and has attended relevant Management courses. During his work at IMRE, he has established valuable contacts to the OLED display and plastic electronics industry. Currently, he is working as Research Scientist/Business Manager in the IMRE/ETPL Flagship project "High Performance Flexible Barrier Substrate Technology" to commercialise and spin off a company.

Dr Lerwen LIU: Director - SingNano and NanoGlobe Pte Ltd (S'pore)
Dr Lerwen Liu is an Asia-based nanotechnology expert specializing in government and corporate strategic services to policy makers and corporate executives. She also specializes in business development and project management for leading nanotechnology companies in their global expansion of R & D, commercialization and market. She has been actively building nanotechnology networks with government agencies, R & D institutions and industries across the world since 1999, especially promoting nanotechnology policy and cooperation in the Asia region. She co-founded the Asia Nano Forum (Singapore based network organization linking 14 Asia Pacific economies) and founded the NanoSingapore network, with the support of A*STAR, EDB and SPRING, providing a platform for nanotech government, R & D and industry leaders to collaborate and accelerate commericialization of R & D. She liaisons closely with government agencies, R & D organizations and industries Asia, North America and Europe and promotes nanotechnology policy, research activities, products and partnerships to the micro/nanotechnology R & D and business community in Asia. Dr Liu is a director of Zyvex Asia managing its operation in Singapore and its Atomic Precise Manufacturing Program (APM). She recently joined the board of director of Nanostart Asia facilitating Nanostart`s Asia investment business. Dr Liu has PhD in physics specializing in many-body effects and transports in semiconductor nanostructures, and has conducted research work in Australia, Japan, USA and Italy. Dr Liu is an Australian citizen and currently based in Singapore.
