DANCING DJ (DDJ) GAME OVERVIEW

It may not be as slick as Microsoft's Project Natal, but DDJ is also based on no‐controller, motion‐tracking smarts. Developed using home‐grown motion tracking technology from A*Star's Institute for Infocomm Research (IIR), the game has a camera which follows the gamer's hand motions. The casual game works like Guitar Hero. Coloured tiles cascade in five columns. When the tiles hit the bar at the bottom, the player must move the cursors ‐ one for the left hand and one for the right ‐ to catch the tiles.  Instead of mashing buttons, the player moves the cursors by simply waving his hands. HGI will run a dance competition in which two gamers face off with quicksilver hand waves.
