MR MICHAEL CHUA. Founding President & CEO: Westfield IT & Security (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd
Adviser And Head of IT Security, Sub-Committee: APSA (Asian Professional Security Asscn - Singapore Chapter)

Michael is the Founding President and CEO of Westfield Computers Ltd, incorporated in England since 1988, specializing in information security. He has more than seventeen years' experience in the IT and information security industry and has consulted on a wide range of business systems strategies and hands-on implementation on various computer applications in governmental, manufacturing, process control, oil exploration, financial and management environments. He has advised Director Generals of key government departments and Board of Directors of major corporations around the world. To-date, his assignments have taken him to eleven countries across the four continents of Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia. Some of his more notable clients include: Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATs), The European Commission, the South African Government, RHB Bank, Barclays Corporate PLC, Chase-Fleming, Shell, Belgacom and S.W.I.F.T. With S.W.I.F.T., the level of security was of the highest order, as it involved more than US$6 trillion worth of transactions per day.

Michael holds an MSc (IT) from the University of Keele, UK (1999); a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science (1987) and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia (1985); a Diploma in Management Studies from the Institute of Supervisory Management (1982), UK; and a Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Singapore Polytechnic (1980). Michael has been interviewed by Mediacorp Singapore Radio, CNBC, the Singapore Straits Times, Computer Times, the Asian Computer Weekly and the Malaysian New Straits Times on information security. He has contributed articles in journals like: BCS Computing, Fire & Security, Mimos Mind, the Asean Bankers, International Who's Who and Today's Manager. Michael is an inducted member of the Boston Historical Society's International Who's Who Directory (est. 1928), a member of British Computer Society's 28 peer-reviewed experts world-wide Register of Security Consultants; the only vetted information security specialist in the UK Expert Witness Register; and a member of the Asian Professional Security Association, APSA.

MR LAWRENCE GOH, Senior Manager, Professional & Managed Services: Pacific Internet Ltd, Singapore

Lawrence is Senior Manager for Professional & Managed Services at Pacific Internet Singapore. His role is to expand the business to provide a one-stop shop for corporate solutions in network and systems services. Prior to this position, Lawrence held responsibility for the company’s IT security function. He also spearheaded the fulfillment of Pacific Internet’s corporate customers security requirements.

Lawrence has over eight years of experience in the Internet industry during which he played an instrumental role in the development of Pacific Internet’ s network hubs across the region. He was also part of the pioneering team that built Singapore’s first Internet service provider, TechNet; a closed research and development computer network for academics in National University of Singapore.

Lawrence is a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and holds an Honours degree in Information Systems and Computer Science from the National University of Singapore.

MR LOON-CHWEE CHIA, Storage Services Manager: HP Services, South-East Asia

Loon-Chwee is the SEA storage services manager for Hewlett-Packard's SEA HP Services. He is responsible for designing and delivering storage-focused services to enable HP customers to effectively manage data expansion and increase the performance of their storage devices.

Prior to his current responsibility, Loon-Chwee was heavily involved in HP's engineering services, account management and technical support. Among his accomplishments in this area, Loon-Chwee led and engineered new programme initiatives in Storage Area Network and Performance Utilisation Services.

Loon-Chwee joined HP in 1996 as account services consultant and he provided account support activities to HP's key enterprise clients. He graduated from National University of Singapore with a B.SC in Computer Science.

MR CHRISTOPHER LOW, Chief Instructor: Sensecurity Institute

Christopher started his career in 1993 with Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (formerly known as NCB) specializing in developing and implementing large-scale projects. With three years of enterprise application development experience, he started to specialize in networks and security. Other than providing regular security awareness training for his counterparts as well as conducting security and system audits, he also participated in a nation-wide project for a period of 2 years where he is in charge of the infrastructure set-up of the entire operation.

He has provided consultancy in the various security domains ranging from physical security, system and application development security to disaster recovery planning and telecommunication security.

Christopher is currently the Chief Instructor of Sensecurity Institute where he co-develops and teaches the certification programmes.

MR VIREN MANTRI, Regional Manager - SEA & India, Systems Engrg & Consulting Services: Network Associates

Viren heads the Systems Engineering & Consulting services division for South East Asia and India at Network Associates (NAI). He brings to NAI 17 years of IT experience focused on security and network management mostly with global financial institutions, UBS Warburg and Citibank, and with global accounting firm, KPMG.

As a certified information systems auditor (CISA) and a BS7799 information security management system lead auditor, he has provided expert management guidance and consulting on IT security. Viren holds a Master of Technology degree (M.Tech) in Knowledge Engineering from the National University of Singapore and Bachelor of Science degree (Major: Physics) from the University of Mumbai.

MR JAMES SIA, Regional Product Manager, IP Solutions: Avaya Singapore

James has over nine years of experience in the telecommunications and computer industry. His background has primarily been in sales, product management, and marketing for both the enterprise and service providers markets. James has spent the last four years focussing on the growth of Avaya's IP solutions business in Asia Pacific. As a part of the Regional Product team, James is accountable for Avaya's network solutions, primarily focused on convergence and IP solutions portfolios and the next generation of Avaya's products and services. In addition, James helps define key strategies that will allow Avaya to build on its success and continue to provide leading edge technologies for its customers around the Asia Pacific region.

James received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oklahoma (USA) in 1991 and later obtained his MBA from Curtin University (Australia) in 1997.

In his current role as Senior Regional System Engineering Manager for Symantec and leading a team of engineer in the South East Asian region, Adrian works with corporate customers to ensure the successful integration of Symantec's enterprise security solutions into existing environments. Adrian plays an integral role in the security consulting, training services to Symantec's clients. His key focus in enterprise security is firewall, antivirus, intrusion detection, vulnerability management and security management architecture. Adrian joined Symantec in 1998 after completing his Science Degree in the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Symantec, he held engineer positions with leading corporate resellers and was directly involved with providing networking solutions for both the Novell and WinNT environments.

Adrian graduated from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom with a Master of Science Degree, majoring in Computer and Information Networks. Mr Tham also holds a Advanced Diploma in Data and Communication Networks. He is certified for Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP),Symantec Certified Security Engineer (SCSE), SANS GSEC, MCSE+I, CCDA, CCNA.
