THE PRESENTERS
Mr Jay Shapiro, CEO - Chief Strategist: BLUE
Jay is the founder and CEO of BLUE - "the measurable marketing company",
which is a leading CRM consultancy working with Cisco in EMEA, APAC and at the
worldwide level. He has grown the company from a startup of 3 people in 1999,
to a profitable global force in interactive marketing, covering the leading Fortune
100 companies in 42 countries across three continents. Prior to BLUE, Jay was
the regional strategy director for Publicis Technology. He has received the Motorola
Best New Venture in Asia award and the Singapore Institute of Marketing award
for Marketing Excellence in 1998. Jay regularly gives back to the industry now
as the President of the Internet Advertising Bureau in Singapore and a director
of the International Anti Spam Council, a coalition of Fortune 100 Chief Privacy
Officers. He was invited to Washington D.C. leading up to the FTC's "Do Not Spam"
presentation to Congress in June 2004. Jay has a combined background of MBA of
Marketing Strategy in Asia, Communications Theory and Computer Science. This puts
him in the unique position of being able to develop in-depth strategies, which
are sensitive to a company's needs and the competitive environment, while taking
advantage of the interactivity offered by the Internet. He has developed business
strategies, product and branding campaigns for blue-chip clients such as Hewlett-Packard,
Cisco Systems, JPMorgan, Nokia and Michelin.

Eva Balan,
International Marketing Manager: MSN AdCenter, SEA
(Microsoft)
Eva is recently appointed as the International
Marketing Manager for MSN AdCenter, Southeast Asia. She is also responsible for
the launch for MSN adCenter in Singapore, the first market to launch globally.
Eva is not new to the Microsoft environment and MSN products, having joined the
IT giant in 2002 as Advertising Sales Planner to manage online campaigns for clients
and agencies in Austria In 2003 Eva expanded her portfolio to include sourcing,
training and managing local sales house partners to represent MSN in Central Europe,
Middle East and Africa with her primary focus being Turkey, Egypt, United Arab
Emirates and South Africa. Eva also played a key role in launching the new MSN
Turkey portal in mid 2004. Prior to joining MSN, Eva worked as a marketing consultant
in South Australia Eva was educated in South Australia and holds a degree in International
Marketing and Management.

Tom Bowman, Regional Sales Director: Microsoft
UK
As Regional Advertising Sales Director for MSN
International, Tom Bowman is responsible for ad sales in Central Europe, the Middle
East, Asia Pacific and Latin America. This territory is set for an exciting period
of growth and includes many of MSN's new markets with a distinctive and varied
set of business models. In Tom's previous role as Director, Revenue Strategy MSN
EMEA, he was responsible for building the value proposition, messaging, infrastructure,
and sales capabilities for the MSN Ad Business in Europe. Tom was tasked with
driving new revenue streams, profitability and developing new markets. Tom joined
MSN in 1997 as the first UK Head of Sales and went on to establish and build the
European Sales operation into a multi million dollar business. In 1999 Tom became
revenue director for MSN EMEA and was responsible for building the MSN Sales team
for 15 MSN sites in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to working at MSN, Tom
led the successful launch of Yahoo UK & Ireland as Sales Director. Tom was one
of the early movers in new media; he was the UK Commercial Director of ZDNet and
in 1995 co-founded the UK branch of the Internet Advertising Bureau. Tom has worked
in media since the early 1980s for various media owners and advertising agencies.
Tom is an extensively travelled Londoner, and is married with three children.
He sails on the South Coast of England when he can, and has developed a taste
for mountain climbing. Tom trained as an Economist and is a member of the Chartered
Institute of Marketing.
