The Asian
Civilisations Museum (ACM) located at Empress Place is a unique
venue for conferences and special events. The 'eclectic classical' style
of the building and displays of Chinese art within create an intimate
and inviting setting for participants.
The
ACM was opened on 2 March 2003 and is managed by the National Heritage
Board (NHB, which functions as a statutory board under MITA Singapore)
. Occupying over 14,000 sqm, it houses 11 exhibition galleries, two dining
outlets, a museum shop, fully-equipped auditorium and a function room
with a spectacular view of the Singapore River. It is
the biggest museum in Singapore and is set to make its mark as premier
museum and educational institution in Singapore and in the region.
